The side lock is way easier to deal with than the padlock style I had before, no rattling when I move around. At 3.5 inches it fits snug without pinching, and the resin wipes clean in seconds. My partner was skeptical at first but now actually asks for it.
The resin is surprisingly lightweight, so he barely notices it after an hour or two. The side lock clicks in solid with no rattle, which I wasn't expecting at this price. Three days in and it's holding up way better than the metal one we tried last year.
