The sounding element adds a whole new layer I didn't expect from a cage, and the restrictive fit keeps everything exactly where it should be. My partner loves having that much control, and cleanup is easier than I feared for stainless.
The lock mechanism feels secure and the stainless steel is nicely weighted. I was surprised how smoothly the sounding rod fits, though it took a bit of practice to get comfortable. Solid build for the price.
The stainless steel feels solid and has no rough edges, which matters a lot for this kind of play. Only gripe is the sizing runs a bit snug, so measure carefully before you commit.
